LET'S TURN YOUR DREAM INTO REALITY

OUR PROCESS

THE BUILT BY MURRAY DIFFERENCE

1. EXPLORATION

During the exploration phase, we take time to understand you, your household, and how you want your home to function and feel. This conversation centers on your daily routines, priorities, and the goals you have for your space, whether you are updating one room or planning a larger transformation. It is also an opportunity for you to get to know our team and how we guide projects from concept through completion. If it feels like the right fit, we move forward into the design phase and begin shaping a plan that brings your vision to life.

2. DESIGN

During the design phase, we focus on how you want your space to look, feel, and function within your home. Our team develops detailed plans and visual models so you can clearly understand the layout, materials, and overall direction before construction begins. After you have made your selections and reviewed finishes, fixtures, and material options, we move into the refine phase to finalize details and prepare your project for construction.

3. REFINEMENT

During the refinement phase of your remodeling project, we finalize design details and material selections to ensure every element aligns with your vision and the way you live. Our team also coordinates any required permitting and approvals during this stage, keeping everything organized so construction can begin smoothly and with confidence.

4. BUILD

The fourth stage is the build phase. Work begins with thoughtful preparation of your home so surrounding areas are protected and the project stays organized from day one. Our team then carries out the planned renovation, bringing your design to life with skilled craftsmanship and careful attention to detail. Throughout the process, you receive regular updates so you always know what is happening and feel confident as progress continues.

5. ENJOYMENT

The final phase is all about enjoying your newly remodeled space. Once construction is complete, we walk through everything together to make sure each detail meets your expectations. From there, you can settle in, appreciate the comfort and craftsmanship, and start experiencing a home designed around the way you live.

At Built by Murray, we walk with you through every stage of your remodeling project, taking time to understand your goals, your style, and how you use your home each day. We believe the best spaces are created through collaboration, thoughtful planning, and honest guidance, so the process feels organized and comfortable from start to finish.

Clear communication and transparency guide everything we do. You will always know what is happening with your project, and we are here to answer questions and talk through decisions along the way. Together, we bring your ideas to life and create spaces that feel personal, functional, and built around the way you live.

He was professional, worked in a timely fashion and made sure to keep his work area clean. Would definitely use again for future work and would definitely recommend!

After more than 3 years looking for a contractor to build an addition for me I finally found Stephen. Such a breadth of fresh air. He actually listened. He spec out the addition where some contractors just wanted to give me a “general” estimate. He did not ask for a ton of money up front but to be paid as the work was done. all of that was good but the real win was he told me 6 months out when he would start the job and that is when he did it. Then he told me the rest of the way what day each phase of the job would start and he did it. When he was done no matter how hard I tried I could not find a single item that required him to come back and fix. I would not even consider any other contractor to work for me.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. What an amazing company! I called Mr. Murray to help me with my 1830s farm house that had bad crawl work done by a previous contractor. He was honest, careful, due diligent, and did an excellent job taking care of my home and didn’t price gouge us. 100% recommend Built By Murray!!
